"Christian education is not just about information — it's about transformation. It shapes not only the mind but the spirit.
Dr. Rushayne Stewart
An In-Depth Introduction to Christian Education

Dr. Stewart grew up in a humble home where resources were limited. He often reflects that if something was not available, the family learned to live without. These formative experiences taught him resilience, gratitude, and perseverance, values that would later shape both his personal character and his commitment to serving others. His childhood unfolded in the island nation of Jamaica, in the Parish of Kingston, within the community of Franklyn Town, specifically in the neighborhood of McIntyre Villa (Dunn Kirk). While the community was rich in culture and connection, it also faced moments of hardship and occasional violence, realities that exposed him early to both the struggles and strength found in everyday life. Out of these beginnings, Dr. Stewart developed a deep passion for faith, education, outreach, and transformation. His life journey from Jamaica to global ministry reflects the power of God to raise purpose out of humble places and to use ordinary beginnings for extraordinary impact.
Salvation Story: Dr. Rushayne Stewart’s salvation story is one of early surrender, spiritual growth, and a clear calling that began in his youth. At the age of twelve, he was baptized at Bethel Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Kingston, Jamaica, marking the beginning of his personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ and live a life rooted in faith. Shortly after his baptism, Dr. Stewart became actively involved in church life through service. He began volunteering with the church’s outreach department, joining Saturday missions to feed and care for elderly residents at the Golden Age Home in Kingston. This consistent act of compassion became the birth of what would later grow into his lifelong outreach ministry, serving the vulnerable, honoring the forgotten, and expressing the love of Christ through action.
By the age of sixteen, while attending high school, Dr. Stewart experienced a pivotal moment that confirmed his calling to public ministry. One morning on his way to school, he felt an unexpected urging to begin singing on the bus. As he sang, passengers began to join in, and the atmosphere shifted into a moment of worship and connection. In that spontaneous setting, he shared his testimony openly, and what began as a simple song became the beginning of his preaching voice.
That experience marked the birth of his public speaking and preaching ministry, an early reminder that God can call and use someone in the most ordinary places to bring light, hope, and encouragement to others.
From those formative years, Dr. Stewart’s faith has continued to mature through life’s challenges, personal growth, and spiritual responsibility. His salvation is not merely a past event, but an ongoing journey of service, healing, and gospel-centered ministry, grounded in the belief that Christ meets people in both struggle and strength.
Ordinations / Credentials: Dr. Rushayne Stewart’s ordination and ministerial credentials reflect a calling that began early and developed through years of faithful pastoral leadership in both Jamaica and the United States.
At the age of seventeen, Dr. Stewart began visiting his godmother’s church, Wayside Zion Church, located within the same home community in Kingston, Jamaica. Although he was still an active member of Bethel Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, this new connection became spiritually significant. Before her passing, his godmother prophetically declared to both him and the congregation that he would one day become the pastor of that church. Following her death, and with the support of the church and the permission of his own pastor to be officially released, Dr. Stewart stepped into leadership as Acting Pastor of Wayside Zion Church at just nineteen years old, serving from 2007 to 2008. This marked the birth of his pastoral ministry and the beginning of a lifelong commitment to shepherding God’s people. In 2009, Dr. Stewart was officially ordained as a Minister, and he went on to serve as Pastor of New Mystic Zion Church of Christ from 2008 to 2010 in Jamaica.
In 2011, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop, and served as Bishop of St. Peter and Paul Pentecostal Missionary Zion Church from 2010 to 2012, continuing his ministry leadership and apostolic outreach throughout Jamaica.
After relocating to the United States, Dr. Stewart continued his episcopal service in Brooklyn, New York, where he served on the ministerial board as Bishop for:

In recognition of his continued apostolic leadership, he was elevated to the Office of Apostle in 2021, in which he continues to serve faithfully to the present. He also served as an Apostle and board member for Covenant of the White Cloth Tabernacle from 2022 to 2023.
Currently, Dr. Stewart serves as the Apostle and senior leader of New Vision Zion Worship Center (2023–Present), carrying forward a ministry rooted in spiritual restoration, outreach, and global impact. Through each season of ordination and service, Dr. Stewart’s ministerial journey reflects a life devoted to preaching the gospel, shepherding communities, and building the Kingdom of God across nations.
