Dr. Rushayne Stewart’s passion for humanitarian work began at age 12, when he began visiting the sick and needy. This early start in service laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to helping others. At 14, he volunteered with his church to visit Golden Age homes, feeding and assisting seniors.
After migrating to the U.S. in 2012, Dr. Stewart continued to serve his community and homeland, Jamaica, by sending barrels of food and clothes to support needy families. During COVID (2020-2022), he sent additional support, including barrels and monetary donations, to aid families in need and partnered with local churches to support community needs.
Dr. Stewart’s international humanitarian work includes partnerships in Liberia to build an orphanage, farm land, and a school for affected children and communities. He’s also established partnerships with churches in Nigeria to support community development.
In recognition of his outreach contributions, Dr. Stewart received awards from Connecticut’s Governor and Lieutenant Governor in 2019. He also received recognition from the Brooklyn Borough President in 2019, 2022, and 2023 for his community development and youth activities, including the launch of an outreach ministry in 2019.
Dr. Stewart joined the Bright-Rostrum Humanitarian Foundation in 2025 and, on January 2, 2026, supported the feeding of over 700 people in need. He serves as Vice President of Programs and Social Development and a member of the Board of Trustees.
Through his work with various non-profit organizations, Dr. Stewart fosters relationships and supports families, communities, veterans, LGBTQ individuals, and homeless communities, reflecting a heart for service and a commitment to making a tangible difference. His approach blends spiritual principles with practical solutions, aiming to empower individuals and transform communities. As a thought leader, Dr. Stewart shares his expertise through writings, speaking engagements, and strategic partnerships, inspiring others to join the fight for a better world.
